Divisional series will define the best four teams in baseball in the next days.
The MLB playoffs have many fans stuck to the games as their teams look for a spot in the NLCS. There are 8 teams remanining in the playoffs. The games being played are:
Cleveland Guardians vs Chicago White Sox
New York Yankees vs Tampa Bay Rays
Atlanta Braves vs LA Dodgers
San Diego Padres vs Milwaukee Brewers
Cleveland Guardians vs Chicago White Sox
The number six seed in the American League, the Chicago White Sox have the number two seed Guardians playing everything in the line for the rest of the series. Chicago has won two games and only need one more to get to the NLCS. Cleveland will play in Chicago today and if they win, they will play there tomorrow as well. In case they force to game 5, they would host the last game of the series for a ticket to the NLCS.
New York Yankees vs Tampa Bay Rays
The Rays took the momentum that the Yankees had after beating the Red Sox in the Wild Card series and now have them one loss away from elimination. The Yankees will try to tie the series at home and force a game 5 to be played in Tampa. The winner of the series will face the winner of the Guardians/White Sox series.
The Yankees will try not to have the same ending to their last season, when they were defeated by the Toronto Blue Jays in the divisional series. The Rays are back in the postseason since 2023, when they were swept by the Rangers, who ended up winning the World Series that year.
Atlanta Braves vs Los Angeles Dodgers
The Dodgers are looking to become champions three times in a row but first they have to eliminate the Atlanta Braves who got to the postseason as the number three seed in the National League.
To get to the divisonal series, the Braves had to take care of the Phillies, who forced a third game in the Wild Card series. The Dodgers finished the season as the second seed in the National League, just behind the Brewers.
Milwaukee Brewers vs San Diego Padres
The Brewers are looking to get to their second NLCS series in a row while the Padres want to repeat what they did in 2022, when they got to the NLCS by beating the Dodgers at Petco Park.
The eight teams remaining in the postseason will have baseball fans watching the ball game for the next 2 weeks at least.
